Couples session

$250
Per session · Private pay

Why private pay?

No diagnosis required

Insurance requires a mental health diagnosis on someone’s record. Private pay doesn’t.

More privacy

What we talk about stays between us. No insurance company reviewing your file.

Your care, your call

How often we meet and how long we work together is decided by you and me, not an insurer.

Frequently asked questions

How long is a session?

+

Right about 50 minutes. As my practice evolves, I may offer 90 minute sessions.

How often do we meet?

+
Ideally weekly. Consistency, plus practice between sessions, is what moves things forward. Later on, we meet less often, eventually monthly check-ins for as long as you want them.

Telehealth or in person?

+
Both. In-person sessions are on Tuesdays at my St. Paul office. Telehealth is available Wednesdays and Thursdays anywhere in Minnesota.

How long does couples therapy usually take?

+
Most couples work with me for about 12–24 months. Many feel noticeable relief around month 2, and deeper change often starts around months 3–4. Every couple is different.

What happens in the free consultation?

+
It’s a 15-minute call. You tell me a bit about what’s going on, I explain how I work and the five-phase roadmap, and we both get a sense of whether it’s a good fit. No pressure either way.

Ready to stop having the same fight?

A free 15-minute consultation is a no-pressure way to see if we’re a good fit.
